
Ingredients
3½ – cups of ½” diced all white chicken meat (frozen)
¼ – cup of minced onions
½ - cup of butter or margarine
2-3 – tbsp of flour
3- cups of milk
1 – tsp of granulated chicken flavoring
½ - cup of “miracle whip salad dressing” (must be miracle whip)
16 oz - bag of mixed frozen vegetables
1 – cup of frozen diced hash brown potatoes
1 – roll of buttermilk biscuits (for use as the topping)
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparations
In a large sauce pan: melt butter. Add onions. Sprinkle flour until you have a creamy mixture and all the butter is absorbed. Slowly add milk, continually stirring on low heat. Add chicken flavoring, miracle whip, frozen diced chicken, vegetables, potatoes and a dash of salt and pepper. Continue stirring on low heat until the sauce is creamy and thick. (for best results, you should taste test frequently and add salt and pepper as needed)
Pour mixture into a 2-3 qt casserole dish. Top with buttermilk biscuits. Bake in a 375 oven for 25-30 minutes. *turn biscuits over half way through baking and finish cooking until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve immediately.
